Day 22 Perspective

Sunday 22 Jan 2012 - Today I got a text message with some bad news. A friend is at her mother's hospital bedside, and her family have just found out their poor Mum may only have 24 to 48 hours left of life, after a seemingly short illness. I am so sad for my friend and her family.

At the same time - selfishly - I am so grateful to have my family and friends. I always wonder why it takes something devastating like this to remember that we need to appreciate and value our loved ones while they are with us. 

Hopefully there will be happier posts to come, but I don't want to try writing anything right now, as it all seems fairly frivolous at the moment.
