Day 23 Monday Musings

Monday 23 Jan 2012 - Today I had an early morning appointment to get my skin checked. I recommend Dr Ho at the Skin Cancer Clinic, Chermside, he is very good at finding nothing wrong with my skin, which I quite like. He cut a basel cell carcinoma (?) off my back a couple of years ago, and so now it's good to get the all clear for another year. Especially considering my teenage summers spent lying on the beach or in our back yard in Ballina, covered in baby oil... Damage has already been done, I know.

About 5 days after my skin check in January last year, I made the monumental error of going sailing (aka getting thrown about and soaked to the skin) on a fricking catamaran on muddy old Moreton Bay, ruining my friend's shirt and getting the worst sunburn of my life on my lower calves, feet and hands - the only uncovered parts of my body, and impossible to keep sunscreen from washing off. I was in pain, and felt guilty at somehow letting down Dr Ho! Hence my dislike of any boat without a motor, or where I have to throw myself out of the way of sails... Anyway.

Today's photo was taken on my Paper Camera phone app again - it makes everyday things look different, and gives a new view on special items.

Day 23 photo - my Sisters statue, given to me by my lovely sister Donna one birthday - taken on "Pastel Perfect" mode
