Day 15 - A Sunless Summer Sunday

Sunday 15 Jan 12 - Today I was invited to my cousin Ben's place for a yummy BBQ lunch. Ben and his wife Kylie own the place I call my Holiday House. Whenever they go away for a holiday, I get to stay in their lovely home and make use of their full Foxtel service, huge bathtub, air-conditioning and pool, I mean, mind their house & dog for them... A swim was also on offer today, but due to the dark clouds, wind and rain, I decided against it. A bit of a change from the start of this week.

They came up to Brisbane a couple of years ago from Melbourne, and I had only met Kylie once, and seen Ben a couple of times since childhood. Now they are good friends of mine and I love spending time with them and their kids, Declan, Bryn & Imogen. On weekends in winter, you just might find me plonked on their lounge, eating their party pies, watching the AFL on their large telly and screaming at the Collingwood players to win.
